RUBÉN SÁNCHEZ, double bass

Rubén Sánchez was born in 1993 in Peru.  He began playing the electric bass when he was 12 years old under the guidance of Miguel Torres. In 2009 he started playing the double bass.  2013 he moved to Austria and entered the class of Mag. Bernhard Ziegler at the Conservatory in Eisenstadt. In addition, he participated in masterclasses given by well-known musicians such as Elian Ortiz, Josef Gilgenreiner, Josef Niederhammer, Luis Augusto da Fonseca. He is member of several orchestras such as Webern Symphonie Orchester, Orchesterakademie Ossiach, Junge Philharmonie Wien,  Kammerorchester der Bayerischen Philharmonie.  Since 2013 he is a member of the Wiener Jeunesse Orchester. Currently he is playing with several classical and popular ensembles.

He took part of the festivals Wiener Bezirkfestwochen 2016 and Horizonte Landecker Festwochen 2016.
Moreover he is working intensively in his salsa band project called "Corcovado Salsa Club". 
Rubén is a member of Spirituosi since 2016.
